Mycophenolate question

Sorry to ask such a silly question! My husband was diagnosed is January with diffused cutaneous Systemic scleroderma, severe Raynaulds and ILD.

He has been on Mycophenolate for 8 weeks now, his bloods have shown a reduction in his white blood cells (from almost 19 to 11.7).

What happens if his WBC keep coming down? Does the Mycophenolate stay at the same level (2mg a day) or does this ever get adjusted for example to 1mg a day?

Hello new-to-us, I can fully understand your concern, I too am taking Mycophenolate for some time now, it is a severe medication hence the monitoring with regular blood testing.

Of course it's another thing to come to terms with following symptoms and diagnosis of the Systemic Sclerosis.

Each time the blood testing takes place the doctor(s) will look at the results and decide if they consider the medication is causing any untoward effects. I'm sure they will make contact with you with recommendations to reduce the dose or consider other possible medication as appropriate.
