Do you get pernicious anemia in Scleroderma?

I want to know whether one with Scleroderma gets vitamin B12 deficiency causing pernicious anemia?

Do yo get any benefit from taking supplements?

I don’t know how common B12 deficiency is in systemic sclerosis, but other medication used can make absorption worse , for example PPI long term use.

I haves a B12 deficiency and I have injections every 3 months, I find they help and I know when I am due My injections ,as symptoms and tiredness increase.

My wife suffered for a while from anaemia in the summer when she had a faecal impaction and emergency. It cleared up later, might have been related to mycophenate, if you are on that drug. Best to consult GP , I think, who in our case got tests done which showed a natural recovery when the mycophenolate dose was reduced and her system recovered from the emergency.

I am from India and here diagnosis is difficult. Would it be possible to consult with your doctor?
