Mattress recommendation for calcinosis relief

Hi all,

I need a new mattress and while I don't have bundles to spend, I do want to make it last!

I have extensive calcinosis, mostly on pressure points of ankle, knee, elbows and have osteoporosis.

I'm overwhelmed by choice/recommendations. I think foam? But have read that medium firm is preferred to soft.

Any one faced the same dilemma?

Thank you!

Very much personal choice but memory foam is great helps maintain even body temperature ease muscle pain

Depends on what you are comfortable with. If you are small and don’t weigh much you probably don’t need a firm mattress. You really just need to try some and take your time. Good luck.

We recently bought a SIMBA mattress. Was a little wary of the mattress out a box concept at first but so far so good. Really comfortable. Both my adult children have EMMA mattresses and they both like them too. I should say with both brands we bought the highest spec not the basic versions.

I don't have calcinosis but I've been given an air mattress to combat pressure sores which I find very comfortable. It's a topper on the hospital/community bed they've given me.
