Vaccine side effects.

Hello. Just wondering, has anyone who received the Pfizer vaccine and boosters had any long term reactions? Muscle pain spreading to arms and legs for me. My GP, after blood tests, said I had inflammation in my body. Maybe just a coincidence and not related to vaccine? I have Raynaud's and limited form of Scleroderma.

Hi, all my vaccines have been Pfizer and I only had a reaction with the 2nd. This was like a flare, lethargy and painful joints lasting roughly 2 weeks. Other than that I've been fine

Thank you Carol. I had absolutely no reaction after the actual injections. The symptoms appeared gradually, after a few weeks, first the right thigh and now pain in the left arm (not the right one at the moment, fingers crossed). It's probably not linked to the vaccines.

I was very poorly after the first Pfizer dose, I had all the flu like symptoms but very bad ones and then dizziness like I couldn’t walk without holding the wall, but the worst was the brain fog I couldn’t focus or work and joint pain in my fingers especially, the last two symptoms lasted 6 weeks. With the second dose I got very mild flu like symptoms only for 4 days. I decided not to take the booster as the brain fog was awful. It seems we do get a flare up from this vaccine. Good luck

I’ve had 4 Pfizer jabs and one moderna with no side effects lasting more than 2-3 days.

I have RA and Scleroderma x

I have limited scleroderma too and have muscle pain and weakness which I’ve been told is part of the illness so maybe your muscle problems not related to vaccine either?

I have a feeling it's related to the Scleroderma too, but can't find anyone to confirm that. The doctors don't know for sure either I think. Blood tests just show inflammation in the body, pretty vague...

Hi I have Ltd too. Had 4 pfizer vaccs in total plus covid virus twice. No ill effects from any of the vaccs apart from tender arm. From contracting the virus itself I wouldnt have known I had it! Loss of taste was my only symptom on the 2 occasions. Everyone is different and I know of fit healthy people who have been quite unwell after the vaccine and with the virus.

Thank you Claire. Yes, everyone seems to have different symptoms. I haven't caught Covid yet (am careful and have just been lucky so far) as I'm a bit worried about the possible reactions, having Scleroderma. Time will tell.

I have had 4 Pfizer jabs each time I was a bit more aching and my lupus flared ( may have been the scelerderma who knows) and my rheumatologist increased my hydroxychloquine, though now back to my original dose. After my 4th jab my injection arm continued to ache and still hurts when I raise it.Had my gallbladder out three weeks ago and rheumatologist has said to wait another three weeks before my 5th jab until I recovered properly. Steroids apparently stop the healing process.

Just had a text to get my pneumonia jab as in my 70th year, such a lot to fit in!

Thanks for your reply. Sorry to hear about your health issues. The pain in my left arm (where I had the jab) is like you, when I raise my arm. Do get your pneumonia jab, highly recommended over a certain age. Got mine a few years ago (am 72). Take care.

Thankyou mimimacn and yes I will get the pneumonia jab, it’s fitting all these injections in as I am going to visit my daughter and family in Zimbabwe in September ( another daughter with me) and need a few extra injections.You take care too.

Hi, I had 2 Pfizer vaccinations then Moderna booster. After all of then I felt I had a flare up especially with fatigue and brain fog and exacerbated joint pain. It was particularly bad after the 2nd Pfizer. I am currently recovering from Covid (just tested negative today) and feeling very lethargic (this heat isn’t helping as my sinuses are really suffering). My joints are definitely more achy and all I want to do is sleep. Thankfully I had no issues with my breathing, coughing or loss of senses (taste/smell). Hoping I get my mojo back soon. I have limited scleroderma, Raynauds and fibromyalgia.

Thank you for taking the time to answer. Glad that you're recovering from the virus. Looking at all the replies it's clear that everyone had different reactions (or none) to the vaccines, but I have a feeling that having Scleroderma has contributed to some symptoms mentioned. Hard to prove though. Take care.

hi, I have diffuse scleroderma, I was infected by covid, then I had two doses of pfizer vaccine with no side effects. This december I had a third dose, which gave me big fatigue, dizziness and headache. the thing is I had a second mild covid infection in Easter, and then I started experiencing unbearable pain in my arms, fingers and legs. It is a new and unusual symptom for me and I think it was triggered by the covid infection, so it could be the case that the vaccine could have a similar effect. because this kind of pains are common in scleroderma or other conditions, doctors can’t be sure if the cause. my doctor diagnosed fibromyalgia, gave me some prednisolone and sybalta for a month, it did not change my status, so I quit. I am better now, the pains come and go and are not so big. I started using some cannabis patches for localized pain and it works
