UK Welfare Benefits

Have you ever applied for any UK welfare benefits? Are you currently claiming benefits or are you in the process of making a claim?

SRUK has partnered with the Disability Law Service to update all of our information on the UK welfare benefits system. As part of this, we are looking for people with experience of navigating this system who would like to share their stories and tips with our community. We are putting together an article for the next issue of SRUK News with some general information about welfare benefits and how to claim, and we would very much like to include some personal experiences, whether these have been positive or otherwise.

i claimed esa contribution and pip was succesful with both claims and frequent updates i think you need to answer question fully often repeating youself, imagine your talking to someone from mars with no uderstanding of your daily life leave nothing to their immagination,mention every aid or assistance you need from family and friends, explain how your life has changed and how it feels to loose your independence, i always include a personal statement of how i feel about not being my old normal and having to find a new normal
