Background of my question: ard.bmj.com/content/early/2...

Thank you :-)

Kind regards from Germany,

I don’t think so, we were asked to do one prior to the vaccinations but there wasn’t time.

I hadn’t heard of that but something I’d be really interested in. I take it there is no update on a suitable vaccine for the immune suppressed. I stay in a badly affected area at the moment so whilst everyone else taking confidence from the jab, I am not!

If I understand the study correctly 1 of 10 with Autoimmun sicknesses (like SSc) will not develop Covid antibodies (no matter if he/she takes immun surpressant medication or not) after the scond vaccination. How should we deal with that ?

I have had both my jabs now.

I am enrolled on another long term project investigating respiratory health and was offered the opportunity to have two different antibody tests, which I have done. the possibility of not developing antibodies has been discussed for a long while which is why I jumped at the chance of getting tested.

The timing was about 6 weeks post Jab 1 and 9 weeks post jab 1. (I had jab 2 at 10 weeks).

Both came back as no discernable antibodies. I will be asking my rheumy about this and asking her to explain t-cell immunity which might still be working even though no antibodies detected. Of course, post jab 2 I might have some antibodies too.

I am on 3g/day of mycophenolate.

I will also be watching with interest to see what the official trials come back with on this.

Thank you for sharing ! Please keep us posted on your post jab 2 results as well as the input of your rheumy on t-cell immunity.

I have Systemic Sclerosis, Raynauds & ILD & recently had a post covid vaccine blood test last week to check antibodies prior to starting next round of Rituximab infusions. I have not developed any antibodies & I currently take 2g/day of mycophenalate. I am now awaiting a blood test to check for Tcell immunity next week. I’ll post when I get my results.
