My specialist prescribes me very strong antibiotics every 6 months. I believe it kills off the bacteria good and bad in the gut and then you get new ones. Then the diahorrea is a lot better
I have GAVE as well goodness knows if it helps that or not but my motility works well and I am back to regular once a day trips to the loo. For about 6 months when it starts to go downhill again. My doctor hadn't heard of it but is happy to prescribe them for me. This may help you, I hope so x
I had this problem in 2017. Eventually the tests showed that I have small intestinal bacterial overgrowth. You really need to be tested for this if you haven't already. The bacteria literally ate my food!!
I agree with all the above comments. I have systemic scleroderma and found out Most the time it is caused by bacteria. I am being treated with long term antibiotics & doing so much better! Please go to roadback.org to read success stories and to find a doctor that actually knows how to help you! You also must take a good probiotic and eat healthy to get your immune system strong to fight off the bad bacteria.
