ILOPROST

Hello everybody, Day 1 of 3. so newspapers and a good book! Oh and a pen mustn"t forget the pen! Arrived and rearing to go, cannula in, after a little encouragement, then a bit of a wait for iloprost to come up from pharmacy. All the usual BP ,temp and pulse, so far so good, lovely nurse brings coffee. Settle down to read the newspapers and then its lunch time. Of course there are half hourly obs, no problems. the bonus is of course copius ammounts of drinks, and chatting to fellow inmates who come and go throughout the day, hey this is not so bad, sitting on a chair being looked after, the occassional visit to the toilet, and before I know it I am being asked what do I want for my tea? Isn"t the NHS wonderful? Decided to keep cannula in overnight, but havent thought it through how to get jumper off, thats for later. so thats the first day done, and apart from a bit of a headache it went well, and this time I have only 3 days treatment, so I"m smiling and waving xx

I remember those iloprosts, I never looked forward to them.

Well done Fairy56 - hope you get through it all without too much discomfort. I've been offered iloprost but haven't yet dared take the plunge. I keep telling the consultant that I'll save it for further down the line. Very best wishes to you and a hug for being brave.
