Hello I take 50mg x 3 daily, no side effects at all, and it does help the Raynauds (a little).

I take 25mg 3 x daily (Think I would be out for the count at 50 x 3!!) no side effects, has undoubtedly helped with my Raynauds and the ulcer I have had for about 20 years is NEARLY healed (she says cautiously). I did nearly faint when I accidentally took 2 x 25 mg in the space of an hour when I was changing my meds around.

I also have mild Pulmonary hypertension and when I saw a cardiologist he said no further intervention required at the moment as that is all he would prescribe at this stage. So even if my ulcer does heal completely, my rheumy has confirmed she will keep me on sildenafil as she has it in writing from the cardiologist that he wants me on it.

Hi Kc

I have tried using sildenafil as it does work really well for many people and was prescribed by my consultant. I gave it a really good go but couldn't tolerate the side effects which vary hugely from person to person. I had cracking headaches, racing heart and big flushes. Many people have no side effects at all so it's worth giving it a try if it's suggested to you.

I'd be interested to hear other peoples' experiences too.

I was recommended to take 3 a day. Unfortunately, i can only tolerate 2 as I get dizzy , light headed and nearly passed out. Everyone is different. Give ita go. Btw be prepared for strange looks when you pick up your perscription!!!!

I have experienced no negative side effects with Sildenafil beyond a warming of the head about a half-hour after taking the pill. I can confirm that the much-discussed 'Viagra' side-effects do occur, but are not a problem when compared with the relief from Raynaud's that the pills give me; they make dancing Argentine tango, as I do, an interestingly unpredictable experience. I generally take one pill a day, sometimes splitting it in two - so one in morning and one in afternoon as required.

I did wonder how men get on when they are prescribed Viagra for the 'non standard' reason (ie Raynauds!)

I get warm and rather flushed -- but it doesn't last long!
