I do have Raynauds, which I think is only primary. Haven't really had any other tests.

It's not unusual, as I understand it, for some BP meds to need to be adjusted. I have MCTD with some aspects of Raynauds and full blown Fibromyalgia. I began on Amlodopine and the dose was subsequently doubled - I was not well on that so the dose was dropped and I went on to Ramipril as well. Then I had a prolonged cough which was probably Whooping Cough but to be sure that the Ramipril was not exacerbating it I was taken off Ramipril and put on Losartan. In short(!), I take two drugs at low doses and they are working well. Do talk openly to your GP. Good luck.

I have read that celery is good at lowering blood pressure. Mine has been creeping up a bit recently so its something I am trailing at the moment to attempt to get in back in range without increasing meds.

There are all sorts of ways that you can use celery in your diet both cooked and raw or even juiced. Have a google.

Of course its always worth mentioning to a doctor as well.

What are you taking your BP medication for, is it to control your blood pressure or to improve your Raynauds (or both)? Definitely see your GP for a review, there are several different medications you could try, some work better for different people.

Your GP may also consider increasing the dose of your Losartan to increase it's efficiency? 50mg daily is often the starting dose for high BP but this can be increased to 100mg daily.

I'm on Losartan for Raynauds but I've only started it two weeks ago, I started on 12.5mg and building up to 100mg slowly to try and avoid side effects.

Best wishes.

I take Nefidipine for Raynauds and it's working really well. Ask your GP about it.

The drug for raynauds is usually Adalat or adalat retard.recommended by my rheum dr. I'm also on candesarten, bendroflumethiazide and doxazosin.Since adding doxazosin I haven't needed illopost infusions and the raynauds is not as severe.I have raynauds ,scleroderma, fibromylgia and renal failure.
