I think I might have scleroderma. Would 2 major surgeries in less then a year bring it on? Had rash on hands and forearms now for 3 months.

Seeing rheumatologist May 7th. On oral prednisone along with steroid cream for rash. Dr. ordered some labs which didnt show anything. I have never had a rash like this in my life. Red,Itch,burn,feels hot,dry and rough no matter how much moisturizer I use and has turned my skin a darker color. Does this sound like a scleroderma rash to anyone?

I don't have Sceroderma myself- just RA, Hypothyroid, secondary Sjogrens and Raynauds. But I've been getting rashes in the form of itchy and painful hives around my face and neck for months so I've done some research. I think you might be looking more in the direction of some kind of Vasculitis unless you have a positive ANA and other symptoms. Could be wrong but if this sounds more like it you could go to the Vasculitis UK HealthUnlocked community as well perhaps? Twitchy

I have had Scleroderma for at least 50 years. Several surgeries, some fairly major and sometimes more than one in a year but I have NEVER had any sort of rash.
