Taking PPI for your acid reflux or stomach ulcers? Saw this on BBC News today! Should we be asking our Doctors about this?

I would everyone to have their B12, D3 and calcium checked as a matter of course. When I was diagnosed with vasculitis I asked my GP if they would check my levels as there is often a case if anything autoimmune going on these 3 levels will be low.

All three in me were found to be low and my tummy doesnt absorb B12 so I take that by injection, I also have this every 8 weeks rather than every 12 as from regular blood tests I have to have done, my B12 was always low by about 10 weeks.

Since moving to every 8 weeks my levels have been more stable. I get my calcium and D3 via prescriptionAD-CAL tablets taken twice daily Karen
