Yes, well it is for me. The thing to do is to have several small meals (I have cup-a-soups, etc) and I must admit to have the occasional jelly fruit or jelly babies to relieve the nausea by chewing.

My husband does, he uses liquorice tablets and ginger tablets, they really do help him, he really wouldn't take them if they didn't, he hates the amount of medication he has to take and wouldn't add to the amount without them working. Good luck.

BY the way, I meant for the neausea rather than the hunger part. Sorry.

I know with prolonged exposure to cold I feel both nausea & lightheadedness like I'm either going to be sick or faint. To help with this sensation I 'nibble' & it seems to help so it becomes a bit of a circle in colder weather that I eat more often but smaller portions.

Hi Littlemisshy,

How do you manage to study when you feel so unwell all the time? You are very brave and I feel for you. You're too young to be ill like this.

Regarding your feeling hungry all the time, I am the same, but that's nothing new. I am always "grazing" but that's only because I don't eat regularly or properly.

What do you have for breakfast? Try something filling like porridge. Have a big breakfast and keep some nuts like unsalted almonds, walnuts, raw peanuts etc. to snack on. Bananas are good with bread and butter to add to you breakfast menu. You do need a snack in between breakfast and elevenses. Seven thirty to eleven is a too long gap for yourself.

You could ask your doc to refer you to the dietician for some guidance on what you need to eat to ensure you get lots of nourishment which will improve your energy levels.

Does your teachers know about your condition and how difficult it is for yourself? You seem to be struggling to cope with your health. Your feeling of nausea is probably due to you taking your meds with not enough in your stomach and could be causing some irritation or inflammation. Talk to your doc again soon about your problems. All the best.

I don't know whether it would work for you but I used to have weetabix for breakfast (still do) & then 'top up' on my way into school with a cereal bar (they now do various breakfast bars/cakes) or apple which used to help sustain until the first breaktime.

Yeah, that would be another option...im not very keen on alot of fruit (or cheese, or nuts and the list goes on haha, im VERY fussy!!) but i spoke to my mum about it earlier and she suggested having cereal and then a banana, as for during school well, ill have to cope i guess... yeah i might get some cereal bars for in the day (ones without nuts or fruit haha) Thankyou :D
