My zopiclone tapering service said asked my Doctor if I could have a small amount of diazepam for the daytime's to help me to wean of the zopiclone as Im coming down off those but the withdrawal makes the daytime's a living hell sometimes but the doctor said no they will not give me many diazepam in case i get addicted. The specialist taperiing org said it would be better with diazapam has anyone done it that way or have advice on coming off the zop. Ive done ok so far as was doing 60-80 mg some nights and down to 15-20 now but its like a emotional nightmare that is hard to live like day by day. Anyone used diazapam to help come off any z drugs ? Thanks

hi Greg1968,

I see it’s been a year since your post. Did you manage to withdraw from the Zopiclone? I’m in a very similar position to you when you started and has hoping you would have some advice. My GP is useless. I’m on about 60mg a night, sometimes I wake in the night and have to top it up by at least 30mg. I hate this drug, wish I’d never started, but I am where I am now, have to think about moving forward. I hope your journey was successful.
