Sounds like downregulation. Zoplicone appeared to have stopped working long before you stopped before, and now you’ve essentially done a two week drug holiday perhaps by not having it or purposely stopped the drug in order for the effects of the drug would start working again.
A more formal clinical explanation could be the receptors in the brain are no longer responding to this med, signaling in the brain is not firing (essentially the receptors have been chronically exposed to mediators and disequilibrium has occurred) this isn’t uncommon after long term use and using more than prescribed (as you’ve taken up to 3+ times the prescribed dose in the past).
It’s possible that same class (hypnotic z-drugs) will have similar effect. But your best to go back to your doc, maybe there are alternatives in a different class better suited for you.

I’ve been given 2 tonight by hospital staff as was brought in suspected corona virus , real wheezing from my chest , on antibiotics and steroids with regular nebulisers to help , had the test done now wait 24-48 hours for the outcome . If it’s negative I’m off this ward out of this hospital like usane bolt
2 tonight worked from 10pm till now but hoping be able get back to sleep

I didn’t realize you were back in the hospital. I truly hope you haven’t been afflicted by corona. And I hope I’m completely wrong about the zoplicone no longer being able to work for you.
So strange it would work on 2 doses and not 4 doses. I hope you were able to get back to sleep after taking these couple doses.

Had 2 last night out like a light , yes I’m on the RDH corona 19 ward 306 , 2 ppl in my bay tested positive I’m waiting for my results but don’t look good

Maybe you are keeping yourself awake at home, you seem to sleep better in the hospital? Maybe there is a psychological aspect to your ability or comfortness where you sleep, having more stress and anxiety at home, have bad habits at home regarding your sleep.
Something to think about.

No corona just chest infection and reg flu home tomorow happy days , 3 zops today ain’t worked 😕

I’ve had 4 because they gave me 15 ml of morphine for the pain and that keeps me up but tiring now be lights out in 10

Are you on pain meds when not in the hospital? Take other meds in general besides the zoplicone for sleep?
There is a reason for the zoplicone not working, some meds can inhibit other meds from working and also there are meds that can potentiate other meds.

Well dang... yay for no corona, but terrible about the flu.
Three zops today and back to not working isn’t good, that throws my theory away. I just don’t know why it works one night and not the next and on these high doses. I’m puzzled.
