Over the last week or two I have noticed that my cheekbones feel funny, almost like a tingling sensation (similar to when you get too much sun) It's not all the time but seem to be feeling it more and more. Is this connected to sjogren's syndrome? or is part of thyroid or fibromyalgia problems?

Hi JaneBG, I have also experienced this strange sensation around the cheekbone area. I suffer from SS, LSE. Fibromyalgia and SIRS and yes it is hard to distinguish what is coursing it as there is so much going on in our bodies. It is worth talking to your consultant or GP about it. Please let us know how you get on. Take care xxx
Hi JaneBG, re: tingling sensation, do you have numbness around the mouth as well and do you have tingling or numbness in the lower legs and hands.Bev
Hi Beverly, I get a tingling sensation in my left leg, mostly thigh area but I do have a back problem too that can cause this. My hands maybe a little if I'm on the computer for a while, it is more twinges that I get on back of hands and feet.
A salicylate free diet has eliminated all of my sjogren's symptoms. If I eat salicilates the symptoms come back. I'm not cured, but symptom free.
