Thanks Pharmacist! Not!

Just whinging here really.....but today I went into a pharmacy and asked if they had any nasal moisturiser for the inside of my nose. The lady looked bemused then laughed and said, "No we don't sell that item" and then walked off. I promptly walked out. I wasn't angry I just thought she was rather ignorant.

Sounds unprofessional - maybe give her employer a call so she gets a hurry up from the boss. I use Aloe Vera gel, which comes in a tube, and apply with a cotton tip 2-3 times a day. I think any pharmacist worth their salt should have aloe vera gel.

I just use nasal saline solution as a moisturiser but it is quite expensive for what it is at the chemist so I went online and found a product called Breathe-Easy and it is a container of powder that you just make up into your own spray - works really well and will last for ages.

Hi! Am new to this site and have just read your post, which is now a few years old. Anyway. I have similar problem, and to try to save on expensive pharmaceuticals (I wish) I found that good old fashioned Vaseline - or petroleum jelly - works the best. Any oil, including coconut oil or vegetable cooking oil, also seems to work, but vaseline is def. my favourite go-to.

Ciao, hope this helps.

Ayr Saline nasal gel or mist has worked for me for many years; it is available through Amazon or perhaps pharmacies where you live. It is not very expensive (I have seen expensive offerings by individuals online, but I have never paid more than a few dollars.) The particular item I snipped from Amazon, but which will not paste down here, sells for $3.28, or $9.95 for a 3-pack. I find that one single tube lasts quite a long time.
