Hi Kels , not a great explanation . Might mean that the changes were not specific to a particular condition. The biopsy might give more definite diagnosis , possibly .

Best wishes, i hope you get some answers 🙂

Hi... Kels1974 .....like weathervane it’s sounds like the appearance of your salivary gland on ultrasound is not linked to any known disease or medical condition. A biopsy (sample of the salivary gland) has been taken to try and identify any pathology (disease or medical condition).

Hope all goes well for you 😊

hi Kels1974 . I agree with weathervane and Caz2017 who succinctly replied. Naturally you seek some answers, however it's good news in a way that your salivary glands do not presently seem to clearly indicate Sjogren's, or any disorder.

I was diagnosed years ago with ANA (anti Ro) and several other symptoms. The rheumatologist at the time discouraged me from getting a lip biopsy but these days some medical staff say it is the gold standard to diagnosis of Sjogren's, if a person has it. So, it is good news that you have also had biopsy done.

If you feel up to it and want to, please share how that goes.

Thankyou I haven't had the biopsy as yet, I am still waiting for an appointment.

I'm having the biopsy on 27th November.

Kels1974 Hi, there. Sorry about that. My brain fog is almost a permanent state and my once very good attention to detail is no more. I should have said that it is good news your ultrasound came out without any disease state. Also it is good news you would be able to have the biopsy, i.e., that your consultant would order one since that would provide more information, I would hope.

I know lots of people saying their appointments have gotten postponed. Did it happen on 27th November 20? If so, do you wish to share any news on your biopsy results?
