Is it Sjorgrens?

I already struggle with Hashimoto's, Psoriasis and Polymyalgia Rheumatica, - for which I am on Prednisolone (Cortisone) - 2 years.

in Dec last year I had pneumonia - after coming out of hospital I had an episode of an extremely dry mouth. Can't swallow without keeping water in it.

My eyes have been dry for a while esp in the mornings. I also feel like it's affected my eyesight.

Two weeks ago I had an overly busy weekend but felt well. On the Monday at work I developed hayfever - took an anti histamine and felt like I was having a allergic reaction to it - then the excessively dry mouth. It wore off by that night. The next day I had very sore joints

Then last Friday I was working in the garden (barefoot) and after dinner the soles on my feet became very itch and red. Once again I thought allergy - about an hour after the very dry mouth started.

Now I keep getting it - almost constant - sometimes worse than other times.

My doctor is doing an auto-antibody screen.

I thought it was steroid related as I am trying to wean down from 7 to 6mg have gone back up to 10.

I'm in the UK.

Sorry about the long post.

Don't know anything about Sjorgrens.

Thanks .

I have Sjogrens, Hashimoto, Rheumatoid arthritis, Reynaud's. It is not necessarily "fixable" as you can only treat the symptoms. I have extremely dry eyes and use Bion tears many times throughout the day and lacri lube eye ointment at night. I wear sunglasses more than other people do.

Dry skin...a good quality moisturizer after shower or swim. Scalp itch and tiny sores....find a suitable shampoo. Managing symptoms is the most effective way. I have meds for my RA.

My Renauds simply requires me to keep warm and just smile at the comments made about my gloves and scarves! I have had all this for more than 30yrs. Occasionally have needed prednisone to get me back on track with RA.

Beware of Mobic perhaps.

Keep in touch. I am in Australia.😊

Thank you so much for your reply. Did you have an antibody blood screen to confirm the diagnosed or diagnosed from clinical symptoms?
