Like other long-term illnesses:

- A holistic, multidisciplinary approach - nutrition counselling, psychological support, physical activity, relaxation therapies alongside appropriate medication and medical follow-up

- Know your body to recognize the signs that something is not right and start reverting it straight away or ask for help as early as possible

- Learn as much as you can about the disease and about how you react to it. If you have any questions, raise them with the healthcare personnel who knows and may be of help. Collaborate with communities, groups and share and spread the word.
