Have you ever participated in any uterine cancer support groups? If so, how was your experience?

10 years ago, which is when I received my first diagnosis of uterine cancer I couldn't find a support group that was specifically geared towards women diagnosed with uterine cancer. I felt very alone. Uterine cancer has gotten more attention now; I attend support groups and also facilitate several uterine cancer groups. After attending my first support group I didn't feel so isolated; the group made me feel uplifted. I'm glad SHARE provides a safe space for women diagnosed to connect and gain information.

When I was diagnosed 5 years ago I couldn't find a uterine cancer support group so I joined a mixed cancers group and it served to offer friendship and structure. But I was thrilled when I found SHARE and Nefa-Tari welcomed me into her uterine cancer group. It's really important to feel understood, and I have learned so much more about my cancer.
