Well...I wd insist on 3 month scans
Dear Heidi1965
I am also stage 3 low grade. I am however only 6 months out from Chemo. I am part of a study where I get CT Sagan’s and bloodwork every 3 months. Also on Letrozole for maintenance on this study. Maybe you could ask your doctor about that. Thank you for sharing your story. I am always anxious before each scan and tests for recurrence.
Sincerely, Dawn
Hi. My CA125 is always low so I get scans every six months or if I have symptoms. Maybe you could ask about every six months?
In the US it seems that the key to getting every 3 month scans is as a drug trial participant. Otherwise it's just not standard of care apparently, and insurance approval would be iffy.
