Anyone have CA 125 suddenly increase for two months over 200 without it being recurrence? My recent scan was clear and have no indication of typical reasons for increase.
Am in clinical trial on Zejula and dosage has been increased from 100 to 200 per day. I am handling that dosage better than when on it earlier as my body appears to have adjusted. Thank you.

I have. A few weeks ago my ca125 went from 18 to 75. Had a ct scan and found out I have tons of inflammation(inflammation can make the number go up) and two large hernias that I will now be getting repaired on March 4th. So the increase in number was due to inflammation caused by the very large hernias. I’ll get it checked one more time before the March 4th surgery but my oncology team is confident I’m good on their end of things.
I am Vickie and new to the thread here. Stage 4 ovarian cancer. Thank you for sharing your post Samantha. My doc always just assumes that when my CA125 goes up it means cancer growth. My number fluctuates at times and I know I have inflammation in my body. I’ve suspected it could at times be affecting it., but he always says that couldn’t be the case.....
There are several studies confirming that a number of things can trigger a rise in a CA125 besides the presence of ovarian cancer. And in fact that’s the main reason it’s not used as a screening method for ovarian cancer in the general population - it’s lack of specificity and selectivity.
I am on the Zejula for second time reoccurrence after two surgeries, I am tolerating it well only on 100 200 was too much for me , I am having the same issue my CT scan was clear but my CA 125 keeps going up to 64, On 19 February I will get another CA 125 and probably a CT scan I hope everything will be fine we just have to keep on keeping on God bless you we are all in this together❤️
