Hi fellow thriver, I was diagnosed with this cancer onto top of the breast cancer. It came up on a routine scan. The biopsy is ridiculously aggressive and I couldn’t talk for two days. I only had a partial removal of my right side and they cut you on the inside crease of your neck. Recovery was good and only I can notice my scar. Thyroid function is checked in routine blood work every month. If it’s low they may give a supplement but thank God I have been ok.
Greetings: Sister/Thriver😇. Thank you, and Health Unlocked for providing answers, and information to help us along our cancer diagnosis, and journey.. I am happy to know everything turned out well in reference to your thyroid biopsy. I pray for GOD's complete healing/restoration in your GOD given temple Amen😇🙏
yes! I had my entire thyroid removed in 2020 due to papillary thyroid cancer. Surgery was my entire treatment. Radioactive iodine was discussed but ultimately the cons outweighed the pros.
I use synthesis and chromed to compensate for no thyroid. Once we got those medications at the right dose, I have no symptoms of missing a thyroid. My parathyroid was damaged in surgery. I manage that with calcium. Again, once we got that stable I feel fine.
Once everything stabilized (took me around 9 months), I receive annual ultrasound and bloodwork.
Hit me up with any questions you have. Good luck, I hope you adjust easily and quickly.
back at ya!
