I have been on it since the middle of September. So far it has been kind to me. One of easiest drugs that I have taken. I am tired but if I pace myself I can keep going.

I wish you the best.

I have been on it since March 2023. It is an easy med with a few side effects for me that can be managed. Heart burn is almost a daily thing but Prilosec helps. Be sure to take with food and a be well hydrated. Drink lots before taking and then after. I take it with a glass of milk. I find waiting at least 30 mins to take it works the best to avoid nausea. Facebook has a great group for those on Orserdu that can offer lots of info.

Keep in mind this med may not be a straight line for you. I have had some decreases and some increases but we have decided to stay the course. My TM haven't really budged but they don't usually for me. Some have reported a spike in TMs so don't panic.

Thanks NShaft

Decreases and increases in what?

Spots lighting up more or less.

Thanks for clarifying, Guess I’m wondering what happened to the protocol that treatment has to change upon progression.

Very curious that your oncologist is choosing to stick with it with increases….Not that I disagree. Is it veering from standard care. ?

Im always looking for those “out-of-the-box” thinkers.

I am an out of the box thinker. My onc is data driven so I have to talk her into some things. New lesions might be a different decision but existing lesions’ SUV increasing may not mean a change in med for me. I want to squeeze all I can out of each line of treatment.

I have been on it for 6 months, dose of 345 mg, and it's working for me with no side effects.

I’m not currently on it, but my understanding is that it is faslodex in oral form for those whose cancer has mutated.

Not what you're looking for?
