Ribociclib and Fluvestrant

Hi everyone, I had 2 Fluvestrant injections 6 days ago and started taking 600mg of Ribociclib 5 days ago. The rash on my upper arms, shoulders, chest and back began the day after starting Ribociclib and have been spreading. I spoke with my csn, she advised taking Loratidine for the itchy red rash, which I've been taking for 3 days, but it's not having any effect as yet. Has anyone else had the same issues? I wasn't expecting the side effects to kick in so quickly.

sorry you've got to deal with the rash, I've no experience of ribociclib so I'm not much help.. but I'm sure some of the ladies on here will give you some info soon and hopefully you will get it under control.

Hi. I'm not on ribociclib but am on Piqray (+ Fulvestrant) which can also cause a rash. I take an antihistamine with each day's dose to keep the rash at bay. So far it has worked.

Hi, thank you for your message, reassuring to know the antihistamines are working. Mine has also now settled down, I was just surprised by how quickly the side effects started. Take care
