Anniversary

Yesterday was the third anniversary of starting letrozole and ibrance. On Friday the Macmillan nurse delivered results of my scan, stable , no change. So I enjoyed my birthday and am continuing to embrace life. We're busy lambing, due to move to mainland Scotland in about a month, then holidays planned. Love to you all! Carolyn

That's fabulous news! We had a pet sheep for several years. I loved her so much, we called her Minna. And I love Scotland!

One is Lamby as my partner said not to get too attached in case it didn't survive. The other is called Tuesday as that's the day we took over her care when her mum died. X

thanks for sharing your story. It’s very powerful. And so are you. I live in upstate New York. Spring is here and all the trees are in their glory. Be well. I received my Fulvesterant shots yesterday. Five and a half years of shots. Just resting. I love to knit and will start a new baby blanket for my friend’s granddaughter. Sending thoughts of love your way. Reenie

wonderful news! Thanks for the picture, and a snippet of your lifestyle. Good luck with your move, I’m sure it was well thought out. I’ve been wishing and wondering if I could make it back home one last time but when my appendix burst 3 weeks ago it brought me to my senses. That and being a high risk of fracture slows me down. I’m from Uddingston where Tunnocks factory is if you ever pass stop for a pie. Hugs Chris

That is good news. I am on the same protocol as you are and I am have now been NED for at least two years. I feel so happy and optimistic. After my COVID vaccination I seem to have become free of the cancer. Could the vaccine have played a role? I wonder if anyone else had a positive change after getting the vaccine. I think the Ibrance and Letrozole combo have helped women with mbc and are probably quite effective with or without the vaccine. But I heard that Pfizer is planning to make a mbc vaccine. Is this somehow connected to what they see happening after mbc women started showing improvements. I am just theorizing based on my results and what I heard on the news. Do you know anything about this. Cheers Marlene

I have certainly heard of improvement in cancer patients after the vaccine and I believe some treatments are linked to anti viral medication, so you may be right!

Thank you Beryl. I just had my 6th vaccine of Pfizer today. I hope that there truly isna link between the vaccine and cancer patients improving. All the best to you and your lambs. And happy anniversary! Hugs Marlene
