Do you have other groups you like similar to this one? I find everyone here so positive and hopeful. But other groups I’ve looked at have been too depressing and negative. I really need the good energy. Can you recommend any Facebook or other groups you like?

I do like the breastcancer.org discussion groups , specific to stage IV. I find everyone there to be supportive, like here . The discussion threads I frequent are specific to Ibrance for the most part. I haven't been on fb groups because I prefer to be somewhat anonymous.

Sorry, I don’t follow any other groups. I try to minimize my focus on the cancer. It gets enough of me already!😩

I believe in the life saving components of western medicine, it certainly saved my life. But I also believe our bodies are meant to heal, and there’s so much great evidence out there that proves this.

Most of the traditional sites focus on how to manage symptoms, medicines and how to live the longest using only our current medical models.

The trouble is, it doesn’t allow for much else. If you’re open to seeing other add ons to what is out there, check out these Facebook groups - a wealth of info:

I’m of the same mind as you. I’ve followed all of those groups and tried to heal naturally for the last two years unsuccessfully. I’m having to accept that I need western medicine and hope it’s not too late. I’m now incorporating something even more alternative than all these groups and hope it makes a massive difference but also trying to be more accepting of my situation. I get new scans on Thursday to see if what I’ve been doing has had any impact. If not, and if my oncologist agrees I may have to consider going all in with his recommendations. I’m trying Anastrozole and Ibrance right now although even at the lowest doses and a reduced schedule Ibrance kicks my butt. So much pain and fatigue. I’m now going to try it every other day and see if that makes a difference. Then possibly switch to V. We’ll see. I was so sure I could get rid of the cancer like so many others have naturally. I know it can work. But for some reason this it hasn’t for me. It’s been humbling and a huge learning experience.

I totally understand where you’re at, I’ve been there so many times as well, and it can be so defeating! Anastrazole was the first round of meds for me and it worked exceptionally well…the issue with most of these drugs is that even if they work well, they generally have a shelf life of success in our bodies, then recurrence can happen, then next round of meds, rinse, repeat.

One additional thing that isn’t necessarily in any FB group, but for me, is what I believe is a huge missing piece I haven’t been able to fully explore yet (need to wait till I’m no longer under risk of osteonecrosis) is the hidden dental toxicity piece and its connection to cancer.

I’ve posted about this a couple of times here, but to me, it can’t be overstated. There’s tons of resources out there on the topic, but in the first 20 min of this documentary alone, just listen for the breast cancer info these doctors / interviewees are mentioning in regards to the dental toxicity connection, it’s staggering:

I can see it’s suddenly “restricted”, so just go on YouTube and search “root cause” documentary, it’s free to watch.

I 100% believe that the cavitation I got from my wisdom teeth being removed FOR NO LOGICAL REASON when I was 21 played a huge role in this cancer. I’ve never had cavities or really any dental issues. But we have a very good biological dentist here in Portland Oregon and I had the cavitation cleaned out last year (30 years after the wisdom tooth extraction). It was FULL of pathogens. All kinds related to Lyme. Didn’t even know it was there. Never had any pain which is normal. I’m so tired of “modern medicine” killing us. I know it can also be amazing and life saving but also can be death.

yes totally - the levels of detrimental stuff going on within cavitations are insane! I would never have known any of this if I hadn’t stumbled across it - root canals too. Unbelievable.

Actually, not that many have gotten rid of cancer naturally. Everyone I know who tried it for breast cancer is dead. Anecdotes are not the same as scientific evidence. I don't know of any valid studies (controlled trials) that show "natural" remedies to be as effective as the toxic ones. There are some studies in the works that use natural remedies, but at very high doses that make them more like treatments we are getting, and with strategies that increase bioavailability.

I am in many FB groups, I will name a few here. The Closed Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer--has over 8 thousand members, Christian Stage 4 Metastatic Group, Clinical Trials and Innovations for Metastatic Breast Cancer, Natural Cures for Cancer, and several more. I try not to spend more than an hour a day reading in these grps but I find them very beneficial for knowledge and occasionally I can offer an encouraging word to others. I also just follow many groups on FB.

I love The Breasties because it tends to skew younger (I'm 36) and I like that all are welcome in all stages. They also have virtual meetups for specific experiences like BIPOC, lgbt, newly diagnosed, stage 4, etc. On Facebook, I really like the group "MBC trials and innovative treatments". They post articles on new and upcoming trials and treatments which I find very positive to read up on.

I follow the FaceBook Closed Stage 4 MBC group; some of the groups according to drugs--like the CDK 4,6 Inhibitor group; brain mets group; The Golden Oldies (older aged); and the Oligo group. They get to the point and don't chit-chat as much. And not so many "melt-downs"! And no one disses the others. I have learned TONS from them--way more than from this site. You could try one or two groups--you can follow without posting--and you can always make up a code name. Best to you!

Yes I have found the same. The people here are optimistic and supportive with great information. There is definitely bright positive energy on this site. I stay away from other social media, however I do visit the websites of the top cancer centers, Living with Breast Cancer, breast cancer.org, American Cancer Society, ASCO, Practice Oncology and other reputable groups for reliable information.
