I wonder if it is in trial in the US.

hi Tammy, yes it is.I have been on the clinical trial since July 2022. I am getting Capivasertib with AZD (Faslodex but in pills not shots) so far it has been working. I have a CT scheduled on Thursday so hopefully good news. I think they closed the ‘recruiting’ in august but I guess you can always ask the clinical trial coordinator at the institute you are going.

it’s very good to know that someone “we know” is actually in this trial and has good results. I also am very happy that the Fulvestrant is now in pill form. I hope that the new medicine will be available commercially very soon.

I was listening to a radio 4 programme about it. It really is very exciting. It now has to go through the approval process before it can be used worldwide. Apparently this takes up to a year.

I just read an article about this medication through MedPage, also. It does sound very promising and did not. appear to have a lot of side effects. Thank you for sharing this information.

Wow! Thanks for sharing! This and the recent news from Oncology Solutions about ErSo (renamed SERA2) continuing toward human trials is quite exciting! Finally it seems that MBC is getting the attention it deserves.

Thanks for posting this article. Excellent news! Friends and I always chuckle when some of the best cancer news comes from the Daily Mail, but that is often the case. My Oncologist is at the SABC conference now. Can’t wait to ask about this new drug at my January visit.

another report from the US. More research needed… but promising!

All good news. I saw the CNN article you posted. I loved the oncologist’s quote

“That’s a good thing to have,” Burstein said. “More arrows in the quiver. That’s all very positive developments and very encouraging.”

He also said “With the positive results of research for breast cancer treatments, he thinks there will soon be a lot more choices, and he’s confident capivasertib will be one of them.”
