Has Anyone Tried Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) - for expedited healing from radiation induced bone fractures & unhealing wounds?

hopenowandtomorrow profile image

I understand that Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) helps tremendously with jaw bone death caused by Xgeva type drugs & radiation induced bone problems. It is FDA approved therapy for radiation induced injuries. There are no contraindications for people with active cancer.

I’m considering HBOT (defined below) to help heal my broken pelvic & sacrum fractures due to radiation weakening the bones.

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) is a non-invasive treatment that greatly increases the amount of oxygen in a person’s bloodstream, promoting stem cell mobilization and repairing damaged tissue to heal wounds internal and external wounds in the body. The versatility of the therapy ensures that it can be utilized by a wide range of patients, including diabetics.

This treatment is also highly effective for those who’ve experienced a concussion, a stroke, or cancer treatments, it is often incorporated into a variety of health optimization and recovery plans.

Anyone with experience with this treatment? I’d love to hear your thoughts!

❤️🙏❤️

Hi, I dont have experience with cancer, but with my autistic son we have tremendous success, every 6 months for years, just find the doctor for appropriate protocol, for every condition is different 🤗

Not cancer related- please nobody tell me off… but I’m intrigued!

09 - How has it helped your autistic son? How have you measured success?

Start speaking, before that nonverbal, from completely non cooperative to verry cooperative, start noticing around himself(better spacial awareness) etc. I was with him in the chamber, its like 75 minutes hole session, 25 minute pure oxygen, you sleep better, increase in appetite, simular like in high mountain, for him it was every 6 monts 50 sessions

I haven't had any direct experience but a friend of mine had it after serious damage to his urinary tract due to radiation. The treatment was very long (I think at least 8 moths, once a week). He had some results, the situation is better now even if not as much as he hoped. Anyway, his situation was tremendously serious before.

Hi!

Im currently on it! BC Mets in bones. Im combining it high dose IVC, both need to be done within 1 hour of each other min. Im doing 10 sessions each. Trying to get as much oxygen to the Tcells as possible to kill the cancer.

Its a complex approach with some off label drugs, diet..etc. I will know if it worked sometime in the new year.

If you want to know more about how to achieve apoptosis, buy a book on Amazon from Jane McLelland How to starve the cancer and then kill it with ferroptosis.

Its very siencey.. but worked for many.

Good luck!

I never had it done but my radiation doctor mentioned it as a possability if my skin graff would have been damaged by the radiation treatments.

My mom did it with great success in treating radiation burns. It did cause cataracts which she had to have corrected. But overall great success!

I have! I started chemo 3.5 weeks after my mastectomy & it was (obviously) too soon as my wound opened & I had some necrotic tissue. Onc didn't want me to delay chemo, surgeon did so the hyperbaric chamber was the compromise. I healed right up, did 6 treatments.

I had hyperbaric oxygen treatments a few years ago. I have a large wound on my chest from radiation that won't heal. (It was healed at one time, but since has gotten worse). The oxygen really did not help. They think it is just the kind of wound that does not work well on that therapy. I had it daily for quite a few weeks, until we gave up. Since then, I had a skin graft over the would. That has also sort of failed as my ribs came through and cut through the skin. Just one of those continuing issues we all face.

Good luck!

Yes I had the necrosis of the jaw from Prolia and it healed my surgery wound as well, it is tedious and tiring I had about 14 1 hr treatments I hope this helps

I had ONJ from Xgeva. Wish I had known about this. I could see it coming and couldn't get an appointment with dentist or periodontist to try to ward it off. A surgery wound? Oral surgery or bc? Did it stop the necrosis or just help heal after oral surgery?

On the other hand, I have a friend who was diagnosed with breast cancer when I was, 14 years ago, and used oxygen instead of the things I did -- surgery, radiation, medication. She used diet, essential oils and oxygen treatment. Her cancer just kept progressing. Amazing she is still alive. She is in a nursing home because her bones were destroyed, and now, finally, is doing Ibrance and it stopped the progression.
