My oncologist told me today he was delighted! My scan is stable and my blood results are stable,not that he gave me the numbers. I'll have to wait for Thursday's bone treatment for that. I had been quite anxious as they slotted in an extra scan and said the mediastinal nodes were enlarged last time. So this is all good news! Next week I'm off to Inverness to meet my partner on the mainland for spot of house hunting. Does anyone on here know which hospitals in Scotland are good for us,as my partner is keen we live near a good hospital as his first priority!

Happy to hear your good news! If it’s a cancer hospital you are looking for then it’s The Beatson Cancer Centre in Glasgow but if you are looking for a general hospital then the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital also in Glasgow is for you. It’s a very modern hospital as it was recently built.

Im sorry I am not familiar with hospitals outside of Glasgow. My children live in Glasgow and a friend of ours who has had cervical cancer with mets since 2012 has spoken highly of Beatson Cancer Centre.

thank you. I've found an organisation called CLAN in Elgin and tried the Facebook pages for those localities. My Macmillan nurse is also exploring for me.

The Western General Hospital cancer centre in Edinburgh is regional specialist cancer unit and is directly linked with the Edinburgh cancer research unit. They are currently engaged in an international clinical trial into a new drug.

This regional service provides a service for people living in the Edinburgh region and also Fife and the Borders. The Oncologists across the regions work as a team ensuring there's equity in the standards of care across the whole area
