Subtle peritoneal stranding
I don't know much but the words subtle and trace are reassuring. Stranding is a nonspecific finding and many things can cause it. Your doctor will probably get a follow up scan In a few months and see if it is same or more. I hope you are feeling well. If you feel well and blood tests pretty stable you could put the worry in your worry box for a while.
Hi Marianne, I'm going to guess you have lobular breast cancer? It has a tendency to metastasize to the peritoneum and is not mass forming. It typically shows up as stranding and bowel thickening and is otherwise difficult to pick up on traditional scans used to screen for mets.. I have mets to my peritoneum and my CT scans regularly show all of the above plus the ascites showing up in yours.
