Hi Sharon. I would not hesitate to call oncologist on this one. Even if it is no big deal you will have peace of mind. :) Hope you are having a great weekend!

Dear Heart, NO WORRIES AT ALL ! I take 'vacations' from Ibrance due to its side effects and all is well.

Don't panic! Just start cycle when you receive it and your body will enjoy the slightly longer break 😊

I wouldn't worry. I have been taken off for a few weeks for infection. I've also had late delivery and missed a day. I've brought myself back into sync by taking 6 days off and not 7 for a couple of months and it's not affected me. X

Hi Sharon, totally agree with aquamoron to call and chat with one of your team if you are feeling anxious. Also be comforted that I'm sure many of us have missed weeks due to low neutrophils or an infection, and missed days due to late prescriptions. Hopefully one of your team will tell you if you shorten your next off week or continue as per normal just now with your 28 days starting on a different date. Xx Stacy

I'm on a one month VACA from 41 rounds of 125mg Ibrance. 3 1/2 years. Maintaining main lung tumor. Smaller bulk cancer bubbles like in the lower fisher walls are fried and scar like. Bones are really painful and quality of life was hard. Second week off, I SMILED, then laughed., then felt real JOY the 3rd week. Back in in a week. The forever med is working for now! GOD BLESS !

Sorry, what do you mean by VACA? Are you on a three weeks on, one week off cycle? What are "the lower fisher walls"? I did not understand either whether you had or have pain now. Congratulations for your 41 rounds!

I’m not sure what you meant by fisher walls but taking a vacation from the meds is sometimes a necessity to let blood values recover or to avoid problems after getting a vaccine. I agree, it’s a vacation because life feels more normal…but I’m always so glad to have this magical medication ready for me! Take care!

lower lung is called the fisher.

Don’t worry it will be fine. Just start taking them when you get them. Many of us have had breaks from Ibrance for various reasons. A few days really won’t hurt and your neutrophils will love it

I was taken off in December when I contracted Covid. My body rejoiced. I’m back on now, but the break was needed.

I don’t think anything will happen. I miss a few days once in a while because my bloodwork is not good so you should be fine.Theresa

You will be fine. I have missed many days and am currently stable. Initially diagnosed with MBC 7/2017.

I know you got your answers but one more, ok? I was taken off (been about 5 years now March 2016) from Sept. 2019 to March 2020, to get chemo for another cancer. Went right back on and still no progression since 2016 MBC diagnosis. Chemo during COVID was frightening by the way, but hey, I survived that, a second cancer and teenagers at home 24/7! We are stronger than we know.
