I had the same thing happen so we switched to Xeloda and markers went down dramatically. It is working well so far (almost a year) 🙏

Hi, I had a similar experience and am on Xeloda now. I finished my fifth cycle. My markers went down as well. Are you experiencing fatique while on Xeloda? I feel weakness and fatigue very often. Best,

Marina

Every cycle is a little different - I am on week two right now and I could seriously have slept all day yesterday. I keep a log of symptoms so I don't forget that I will feel gross, defeated, and weepy at this point of week two - I had a melt down last night sort of like a toddler and a tad embarrassing. I know I will feel better on my week off so I am going to stay the course.

Hi, Thank you for sharing. I also have a shortness of breath when I walk. Do you?

Best,

I had lung mets originally (clear now) and a little exercise induced asthma so they gave me an inhaler. I use it before walks.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. My Mets are in bones and liver. I am glad that Xeloda is helping you. I hope it will help me as well. I did not have a pet ct yet. Best,

Marina

This is so scary and frustrating.Has your sister discussed other options with her oncologist? And markers are not always a good indicator. Has she had other diagnostic exams?I hope you are taking good care of yourself!

I was on Ibrance, and when I switched, they put me on Xeloda and Faslodex at the same time. My tumor markers have finally been dropping.

Hi. You may want to wait for PetCt and discuss it with your oncologist. The MO may want to wait or schedule Pet Ct earlier. I had a similar situation while being on tamoxifen. My markers were going up every month but the MO kept me on it for 2.5 month. It turned that it was not working and the disease progressed. Then she changed the treatment to Xeloda. But my doctor was saying that sometimes if the treatment is changed the markers may go up. How high are they? Best,

Marina
