Last day amongst the Fells

Sad to leave but have booked again for next March. Our souls are here in Cumbria. Have enjoyed every day. Back to reality tomorrow. This is the smallest church in England. It was so sweet but there was no candles to light in memory of those we have lost and of those of us on this journey together.

Hi

What a cute little church!

It’s great you’ve booked to return to Cumbria in March. We need to have lovely things to look forward to.

Take care & stay safe - Covid is definitely on the rise here in the Uk… worrying times. Just had an invite for my 3rd booster 👍

The figures are horrendous Jo and still idiots carry on as if everything is fine. My Aunts nephew on her husbands side passed away yesterday morning from Covid. He was 57. He died very quickly after catching the virus. My Oncologist has it and when I went to the Dental Hospital last week a Dentist had phoned in with it so all the students got sent home that worked with her to isolate. My cousins wife’s family Mum,Dad and 3 children, one a four month old baby all have it. This is all in Essex. I am paranoid about cleaning switches, handles, phones, shopping, even my car door handles and steering wheel. When hubby puts in petrol he wears gloves and a mask and throws them when he gets back in the car. It drives me made but I will not change. Booster is next week for me. I had to wait until my blood settled down and my tooth extraction had healed before having it. I’m glad our break was all outdoors and the cottage we stay in is just spotless. I still disenfected everything and brought my own pillow). Can’t be to careful😏. Take care

What a great trip you have had. Wave on the way past North Wales tomorrow.Clare x

Clare, the moon is in front of Jupiter and Saturn behind that tonight. It’s wonderful. The sky is so bright. Hope you manage to see the glowing planets.

Nice to have something to look forward to . Always a little sad when a holiday is over but I am usually happy to get home . Who know what might be blooming in the garden !

It’s great to be home😃 Luann. The weather was gorgeous today so we saw more nice scenery on the way back. Well done teaching flower arranging. I love some arrangements that are made. Well, I just love flowers.I have started growing rare Auricula. There are beautiful. I intend to bring them along and take cuttings and sell on.

I came home to a really good Oncologist report. He said my ECG report was exceptional. Also, the greatest thing was how pleased he was with my lung mets shrinking. Made my day.

Hope things have settled with you now. Happy flower arranging.

Hi Luann. The plants are small at the moment. They go back centuries. When and if they flower I will post a photo of them. They are in very old terracotta pots. There is so many varieties. A new challenge for me🙏🏼

Oh I just looked them up . They are a sweet little plant.

in reply to Thatflowerlady

They really are. The history about them is fascinating. They won’t make cut flowers but pretty plants to admire. Years ago they made Auricula theatres to display them. I can never go for the ordinary plants. I love a challenge.

Thanks Sandra. Home safe and sound. I received a good Oncologist report. My ECG was extremely exceptional and my chest was clear. I have another ECG next week and I’ve actually got an appointment for the Lymphodema Clinic 5th November. Pleased about it all.I managed to walk so well with my poles. Great advise. Talk soon.

A blessed pilgrimage, happy for you.❤🌺❤

Thank you Sandra. Pleased you enjoyed your ride. I feel so much happier now. We have a beautiful moon with bright shining planets tonight. Completed my break away. Have a good weekend.

Lovely gesture to light candles. Our grandmother introduced this tradition to us.

I’m glad you had a nice trip. Good for the soul.
