I had SBRT to my left acetabular bone in the pelvis 2 years ago. The MBC cancer fractured that bone. I was told to stay off weight bearing on that side & so I had stretch bands that I used to build muscle while I sat in a chair. Over time I was able to walk with a walker, then a cane & now I have no assistance. There is no surgical solution. I still have pain but it has diminished much from the early days. I take 2-3 800 mg of Ibuprofen/day. I’ve been NED for about 18 months. They tell me pelvic bones take longer to heal because they are weight bearing.

Looking forward to being pain-free someday soon!

I find cycling better than walking - less weight on hips and fun!
