It’s that time for scans in two days. I’m asking for prayers, scans makes us anxious and scared all in one. I have a bone and CT scan scheduled for Thursday! Ladies I just want to thank you for everything! I’m so glad I found this site. Thank you 🙏🏽

Good luck, I've got those coming up soon, but awaiting dates. It's waiting for the results I find stressful. Thankfully last time my oncologist phoned straight away rather that wait for my next appointment.

Dear Kduck, I will keep you in my prayers. I know what it is like to have anxiety about scans. I had an MRI Monday and will have a PET scan next Monday. Am hoping for good news, too. Best wishes to you. Think positive and have faith that things will be okay.

Prayers for peace that passes all understanding going up for you. Yes the scans cause us to be scared and anxious. Try to remember the scripture. “Be anxious for nothing.....” I’m glad you found us. There are positive, praying, realistic, smart, caring, kind people on this site. Hang in there.

Yes, I have to make an appointment for one in a month, and I’m nervous even though things are looking good. But I was comforted lately by someone posting here that scans are just another tool for the medical team to chose what treatment is best! And I think 20 or 30 years ago they would have had to do exploratory surgery to get the same information....I was treated for breast cancer in the mid nineties and NEVER had a scan! So I definitely prefer the scan to surgery.....good luck!

Kduck. I get it about the worry, and trying to hold it together.. We have real worries.

This practice on YouTube has really helped me.

And when I cannot do the practice, I phone a friend, eat some chocolate and remind myself that moments of life can still be sweet. I have also signed up for an art course on line which was very cheap. A friend is also doing it. We are using it as a distraction.

And knowing that in the middle of the night (especially) that someone else is out there somewhere in cyberspace worrying like me, and sometimes with me.. helps.

I let my worry rip for a bit, and know we are no longer alone. Someone gets it.
