Any experience with retroperitoneal lymphadenopathy?

Just got MRI results back and I have "moderate" retroperitoneal lymphadenopathy. My onc. is away and I'm not able to talk to her until Wednesday. I've googled and read, but wondered if anyone has had first hand experience. Thanks.

Yes, I had this on a CT in December and began treatment again for it. It was explained to me and from my google searches, it means enlarged lymph glands or lymph nodes (same thing). In the retroperitoneum these occur around the aorta and the other big blood vessels. So retroperitoneal lymphadenopathy means enlarged lymph nodes in this area. Usually near the back. Retroperitoneal lymph nodes are located in a specific part of the abdominal cavity immediately behind the intestine that is closer to your backbone than your belly button.
