Last week I had a PET SCAN. Today found out I have mild internal progression, have been on Xedola last six months. At first it seemed to be working, now seems to be inching its way back up, with the cancer markers. Doc wants to talk with me tomorrow morning. I feel discouraged, this is like my 5th treatment. For those who pray, please pray for me. I don't know where to go from here but I don't want to give up.

Hi. Sorry to hear your news. But don’t give up. There are still treatments down the line. Have you exhausted oral chemos? I’ve heard of Vinorelbine (Navelbine) oral chemo. Maybe you can ask your onc about it. I pray and I will most definitely include you in my prayers🙏. Keep the faith and believe!
I'm so sorry for the stress, truly, and am sending positive energy your way...
And I do hope you don't give up, would definitely feel premature to me. If IV chemo is your next treatment, let me mention that I've been so encouraged by what I've read on this site recently about how effective it can be! These are the big guns in our arsenal that they pull out after the little BB guns of oral chemo stop working!
Please take care and know that you're in my thoughts...
Never give up lovely. You have come this far and there’s so many meds out there. You must stay strong for your wellbeing. Sending virtual hugs and let’s us know how get on with the Oncologist.
My heart goes out to you and so do my prayers and good wishes. Tomorrow, hopefully, worries will recede when your oncologist explains it all to you and offers a way forward.
Hi Susie. You are not alone. I found out about 3 weeks ago that xeloda failed me after 5 cycles. So next week I start my 5th line of treatment since dx Oct 2017 and will be trying Doxil iv chemo. I was disappointed, but just accept this as pet of the journey. I have seen positive posts on the effectiveness of some of these treatments and sometimes with low side effects. I am sure your onc will discuss options with you. Doxil is administered once every 3 weeks and most people on Doxil do not lose all their hair - maybe just thinning. Were you working while on Xeloda? I have decided I need to focus on me now so I plan on going out on disability. Infact, I am informing work tomorrow...feeling a bit nervous about this, but I have given it a lot of thought. Good luck. Keep us posted on what your onc suggests! Faith
