Swollen under my arm pit...does anyone experience that?
sometimes, when you've had lymph nodes removed, you can experience under arm pain or at least that's what happened to my sister. hopefully, it's nothing but always good to get things checked out! God bless you and MERRY CHRISTMAS! ps -- when I get full of anxiety, I say the Lord's prayer several times and it leaves ... thank you, Jesus!
I suggest calling your oncologist. ❤️🙏❤️
Hi... I had the exact same thing happening to me the last couple of weeks. I’ve never had any kind of breast surgery. I saw my oncologist this week and mentioned it. He examined me thoroughly and did not feel anything although my lymph nodes are affected. He said sometimes it’s the meds working. I’m scheduled for a scan on Monday. I thought it would wait till the new year as I am not ready to hear any bad news during this holiday season. I had progression in my last scan back in October and I was devastated. I’m praying for a Xmas miracle of at least hearing the words “you are stable”.
Good luck with the ultrasound. Keep us posted.
Best regards, Maria
Hi, thanks for your replied. I didn't rcvd good news. They want to do biopsy under my arm pit to see if its cancer or not. They are not sure.
I am very upset bc beside that I have pain in my breast and under my armpit I dont feel sick or tired like my previous diagnosis.
I have surgery 2 months ago so I know my breast will still sore but the pain under my armpit was a new pain that start 2 weeks ago.
I am waiting for the onc call me regarding the biopsy. I pray that it's only my limph nodes swollen or scar tissue. Which I do have bc radiation and previous surgery.
Hi,
I am sorry to hear that you did not receive good news. I had my axillary lymph node (located in my underarm) biopsied back in 2018 and it tested positive for cancer. However, in subsequent CT scans it seems to have resolved itself. Hopefully the same will happen to you too if it comes back positive. I can understand your fear, as I was scared too when I was told I had to have the lymph node biopsy. When I asked the nurse if it was cancer she lied and said no. If she was unsure she should have told me over the phone, not misled me.
Please let us know the outcome. I hope the biopsy goes well. It is an uncomfortable place to have a biopsy, but the recovery time is quick.

When she did my ultrasound with her face expression I knew she saw something and I ask her. She said the radiologist needs to verify and then she left for long time, so I knew it was bad news. I am hoping is not cancer. Thanks for share your experience.
It does sound like she saw something on the screen during the ultrasound. I will be thinking of you as you wait to get your results.
my biopsy will be next Thursday and CT scan will be on 10/30/19
All the best for next week. x
I just had the foundation one genomics testing. I had to stop chemo in June taxol because I was in hospital dehydrated. We then tried Kisquali. I had no side effects so oncol said not working. Hair about 1 inch long. She said genomic testing showed my mutations match afinitor. But li put me in hospital last year with pneumonia and lung problem so I can not take it. The other one that matched was Gemsar chemo. So I will be starting that on Jan 6. Since I stopped chemo my markers went from 300 to 2776 hundred. So I hope this works.
Good luck to you I will check in with you. What chemo meds are they giving you this time.?

When I first read your post I wondered if you might have developed lymphedema in your armpit (which causes both swelling and is uncomfortable), or an infection within the area where you had surgery. But I guess they would have considered those already if they sent you for an ultrasound? Hope the biopsy goes well next week.
Hm good question.... they didnt even mention these conditions and rather to have inflammation than cancer. What it is lympethema?
Lymphedema can occur when you’ve had some lymph nodes removed. It can happen right after treatment or later in life if something stresses the lymphatic system- there are less nodes to help let the lymph fluid flow properly out of a particular area so swelling begins. It requires attention from a lymphatic specialist if it occurs to manage the swelling and make sure it doesn’t get worse. Try to google
for better information and resources and how to avoid it.
Thanks! I just went today for my biopsy and I took transfer factor for 2 days every 3 hrs! And the nurse was unable to find the lump. It was between my back and under arm. She said that she cant do it bc its barely nothing there for her to do the biopsy. So I was very happy that I didn't need the biopsy!
I don’t know what the transfer factor is? Also I read your personal story. I’m so sorry to read it. Your oncologist really let you down! Whereabouts are you located?
I had to look it up to read about it. So now I’m curious if the doctor treated you with that Or you were taking it yourself as a supplement?
I’m glad you got yourself a new doctor. What will they do now they couldn’t perform the biopsy?
