Ribociclib
Hi Bluemoon,
I'm in my third round of Ribociclib AKA Kisqali. My doc decided this would be better for me than Ibrance because there is less of a chance of blood clots which I had while in rehab for two broken hips. I have had the usual fatigue, chills, low wbc etc so this third round I reduced to taking 2 pills each day instead of 3. So far it has been better as far as fatigue is concerned. I am halfway through the cycle so I'm hoping that I tolerate it better than full dosage. I have a disabled son that I care for so I must keep on keeping on.
I think there are a few ladies on here that take Ribociclib but not many.
Blessings to you!!
Thank you for replying. I am taking Kisqali with anastrozole to reduce the tumour so it can be operated on. It is in the skin under my breast. I too am on 2 tablets and on my third cycle. The first two cycles slowed my heart rate down.
Have you discussed whether you will continue taking it after the surgery? I assume you will have scans soon to see if it is working? I pray that the surgery will be all you need.
I had EKGs every two weeks for the first two months to keep an eye on the heart. After that they stopped. But I will pay more attention to the heart rate. Mine has always been fast anyway.
All my best to you
I'm on my 24th cycle. Only have bone mets and Ribo has never reduced them; they have only been kept stable according to scans. Meet with my Onc tomorrow to see what my markers look like since they rising. I'll Let you know what happens.

Hugs and prayers for you today.
24 cycles is great!!
Bluemoon and Thrifty. Markers up again 30 - 50 points. Onc still wants to add Faslodex to the regiment, which I'm okay with, except for the expense, so I came armed with some possible clinical trials that include Faslodex. I think I surprised him, but he's having his office do some research on them. I explained to him if he put me on it now, I probably wouldn't be eligible for a trial. He agreed. I find it interesting that both of you ladies are on 2 Ribo pills a day, I'm still taking 3. Like Ibrance, did your doctors think or is there evidence that a reduced dosage is as effective as the max dosage?
I have no idea if it is as effective as the full dose but it is quite common to reduce the dose I believe. I gather you are not in the UK if you are concerned about the cost of drugs.
My markers have also jumped around some but the last time they were down a little. My doc said it was just as effective and hopefully without a lot of the fatigue. However, I am not sure about the fatigue since I'm just in the middle of my second week of reduction.
I have not personally read of any studies done with the reduction.
