Received a phone call Medicare is sending me a genetic testing kit that will help doctors with choice of treatments. Don't know if it is true but we will see.

It sounds strange. I would call Medicare direct to see if they even do that. Whatever you do don’t write down or give out your insurance info or social security info in case it’s a scam.

No I didn't, I told her since she called me she should have all the info.

I know me too. Waiting for it to come. Maybe a scam? We will see.

I hope this isn't a scam, Barbara. Let's hope this is genuine and you will get the testing kit in the post soon. x

Barbara I'm on Medicare too. Did you request the testing kit? Is it for braca or something else!

I did not request it. I received a phone call. I did google it now and it looks like it is real. I put free Medicare genetic testing kit and there is info there. I told her I already have cancer and she said it will help the doctors with what medicine will work. I hope it is true and let's see if it comes in the mail this week. Will let you know.

I requested to get tested. Medicare covers it if you qualify.

That's good I hope it helps doctors find treatments.

I did genetic testing it was done with blood labs. They look at 46 DNA genes. It takes four weeks haven’t gotten results back yet.

They said this was going to be swab. Was yours from Medicare?

Yes mine was from Medicare I had to qualify first for the genetic testing. I had to fill out a genetic history form to qualify .

I know I hope so too.

I was just at her office forgot about the Medicare.

She is thinking of maybe skipping a chemo week here and there because of my feet feeling strange and fatigue. But my markers went down over 400 each in the last 4 weeks. I am happy about that. So I guess we will see. Tomorrow's my 8th treatment. I had no pain after last weeks treatment.

How are you doing with your treatments. How many do you have left. Do your feet hurt.

I really don't mind the wigs. I just ordered a wavy one. Might as well enjoy it.

She just sent appointments to my chart.

I will get one tomorrow and next week. Then three weeks off. My white count dropped really low and I am so tired. We agreed not to do petscan until chemo is finished So it will take longer but I don't want to catch anything like when I caught pneumonia.
