Fulvestran

Thanks .. how many cycles u got...and their doze.... status of disease
I started in July 2018. My 3mth. Scan showed I was stable. Having next scan in March. Good luck to you with your treatments. Marianne
Thanks for writing....plz mention the doze of medicine....
100mg Ibrance and 500 fulvestrant. 250 each shot.
That's the exact treatment I am on. Starting my 10 month next week. So far my tumors are stable. Oncologist said they will never shrink but hoping to keep them stable. How long for you?
It's been 6mths for me. Three mth scam showed I am stable. My onc will do another scan in March.
I get scans every 3months and my next in March. Always a nervous wreck. Keep me posted. I feel so bad for some of the ladies and their side effects, mouth sores, hair loss. I only have fatigue and weight gain and brain confusion. I really love this forum, it has helped me a lot so far. I felt so alone even though I have a great support network, until you hear those awful words MBC you just can't understand. Lost my husband 7 years ago to hear and neck cancer. He was a laryingectomee and on a feeding tube. To me his was the worst. Best of luck to you.
Hi Amitgarg27...Yes, I switched to that combo a few months ago, after Letrezole/Palbo seemed to be failing. I find it easier to tolerate, i.e. less fatigue, so I'm definitely happy in that regard. When I first switched, I was mildly unhappy about it, i.e. as a second line treatment it tends not to last as long as I would like it to, but I read a response on this board -- can't find it now, but the memory sustains me (!) -- from a woman who lasted NINE years on Fulvestrant! I also know a woman who is like eight years in. So, from what I can tell, it can be really good stuff! Best of luck with it...to both of us!
Thanks for reply...plz share how many cycles u covered by fulvestran and Palbace...and doze
Is there a reason why you are asking for these exact things ? You seem to be asking for statistics and not how people really are.
Hello,
It seems to me that you may be on the wrong site. This site is for women (and men) who have metastatic breast cancer, looking for support, encouragement and advice. The nature of your posts seems to suggest that you are conducting research for personal gain for school, college or university. If so, then you would probably be better off checking out some other sites that will best suit your purpose.

Thanks for writing...I am asking for my wife as she is struggling for life .I have no motive of research,..no personal gain....no college
.no university...u taken wrong...it is due to different opinion by oncs...I say sorry if u mind it ..
Hello,
Please accept my apology. If you are not happy with what your wife's oncologist has said, it is a good idea to get a second opinion from another doctor. While it is beneficial to ask for advice on this site, what I and others say does not replace what a doctor has to say. We are all different, so what might work for one patient may prove harmful to someone else. That's why I often advise people to talk to their oncologist, oncology nurse or pharmacist if they need medical advice. Perhaps you can encourage your wife to join in some of the discussions on here. She might find it helpful to interact with others in the same situation as her.
All the best,
Sophie
