l would never presume to know what is best for you, you need to decide based what you know experientislly, with your mind, with your spirit, in consultation with your doctor/s (oncogist, naturopath . . .). Decide whether or not you want to hear what family or friends have to say about this.

Everyone has an opinion. Everyone knows what they would do until it happens to them. It is devastating.

lt can be chronic and lived with for a long time . . . 5 years, 10 years . . . Until it is not.

l suggest you join a private Facebook group called Metastatic Breast Cancer~An Honest Discussion About Living & Dying With Metastatic BreastCancer. It has been a great source of support and information without kudgement or preachiness. Of course you can find much support and information here as well.

Please know you can always change your mind about a course of treatment and that choosing no treatment is always a choice an that doctors can always be changed. Change is hard. Life and living, death and dying are all sometimes hard.

l wish you the very best and am trusting you find exactly what you need.

l had my 72cd birthday yesterday, diagnosed with MBC (Metastatic breast cancer) in July, 2017. I started my second line of treatment this past August. I am glad to still be here and accept that for me this is likely my last line of treatment.

Wishing you love and peace and comfort.

Good morning Sister, and yesss warrior😇. Please look into all options. We have newer, and better choices. The scientific research into medications, and treatments are so much more than what I/we had available to me/us almost 15 years ago. I had aggressive chemo, and radiation treatments for Triple Negative MBC😪. After the treatment was finished the 38 year experienced Oncology Dr. who set up my treatments said he bought me some time, and that I wouldn't live to see 2008🙂,. He told me to go on a cruise, and get my finances in order to prepare for when I wouldn't be able to make those decisions. I actually did as he said, but here's the miracle, DR, FATHER/GOD has kept me here almost 14 years NED with no additional drugs or treatment🙃 I know (believe) our LORD/GOD decides when we are born, and when we die in our physical bodies, but live eternally in heaven with him🤗. I am soooo sorry you had to watch the loss of your mother, and 2 sisters😪. We know as believers that to be absent from the body is to be present with the LORD. There is no more suffering in heaven just Joy. May GOD bless you with complete healing in your body, and soul Amen!. I do send you many virtual hugs. XOXO

You might be interested in this article about palliative care and hospice care. Be ready for your appointment with topics you want to discuss; questions you have; and requests you want to have addressed and honored. Too many physicians are of the opinion that hospice and/or palliative services are "giving up". Be open to information and options, but this is your life and your choice. nia.nih.gov/health/what-are...
