If there is a Health Care department in your Attorney General's office, they may be able to give you some guidance.

If you are in New York State - here's the info (otherwise they may be able to point you to the right department in your state)

ag.ny.gov/bureau/health-car...

Bureau's Health Care toll-free Helpline, 1-800-428-9071

If you tell me the state you are in, I may be able to share other resources

Double D Apparel will be helping to cover all out of pocket expenses. This is a startup organization and is gaining momentum. Their "Awareness is NOT enough!" campaign talks about how one month out of the year people stir up "awareness". Pass along this link to help them gain momentum and make this available all across the US.

In the US, and depending on your state's programs, you might qualify for Medicaid. Particulars can change over time. Your local health department, public assistance "welfare" department can often give us useful information and the closest American Cancer Society probably has info, too. Your Members of Congress, esp your elected Rep probably has somebody in their office who keeps up with current resources, at least federal resources. With stage IV bc I was able to qualify for Social Security disability, based on SS taxes paid and average salary plus having worked enough quarters. Then Medicare followed two years later. So much red tape, but real help is out there! Ifyou have a truusted friend or family member who asked you how they can help, you could put them to work on this! If you learn some things that others here could benefit from, let us know!
