Generic vs. non-generic

Has anyone who has suffered side effects from Anastrazole tried the non-generic form, and found less side effects?

Hi there,

I was on the generic version for 8 months and experienced joint pain on my hands and fingers, wrist, knees.

My doctor gave me a 2 week break and put me on examestane, apparently my version is also a generic version. My body responded better.

If you have been on exemestane for more than 6 months talk to your oncologist to see if another pill is an option for you. You never know. Best of luck!

I do not have major side effects so far. Just an Intolerance to heat.

I've been taking Anastrozole for two and a half years and have had no side effects as far as can tell.
