I'm curious to know too as I had a similar breakout. Yet all my STI results came back negative. So please keep me posted.
Bicarbonate of soda, helps (even though it stings a lot) but usually prevents the outbreaks if applied when you start getting a tingling sensation and also dries out the wound quicker. Outbreaks tend to be around my period.

Only asking as unless you have an outbreak and specifically ask for a herpes test, it is not tested for in standard sti tests. You'd think it would be but no unless you have physical symptoms at the time or ask for a blood antibody test they won't check for it.
The itching is generally a sign that it is. I know its different for a man than a woman . I am a man and when i get it . Its little white bumps they are slightly painful
It might be vaginal shingles if you ever had chicken pox before . If you feel nerve pain and the each you describe it.
