Sex worries

Hello. I've recently come to terms with being gay and want to try having sex. ive never tried it before and am a bit scared to be honest. I will always try and make sure condoms are used but are there any other health implications around receiving anal sex?

Hi, new things like this can always be scary but don't let that put you off. There is not so much natural lubrication for this type of sex so you need to be a bit more careful. It is really important to use extra strong condoms rather than standard ones, and it is important to use lubrication (make sure you choose one that is safe to use with condoms). Condoms during any kind of penetration are essential to protect against infections, and lubrication is important to help prevent any damage. Go at your own pace and don't be rushed into anything, take things easy to begin with and have fun!
