Water vs Gatorade

What are everybody's thoughts on water vs Gatorade when working out? Personally I try and mix it in, particularly when I'm playing baseball or basketball.

Gatorade is more popular in the US than here in the UK. It's like a lot of 'high energy' drinks, contains 5grms of sugar (sucrose). So, personally I wouldn't drink it or any of the others. If you want to re hydrate, drink water 😊

I hear ya @dtech. Off the field I definitely drink a lot more water but I don't know old habits die hard when it comes to Gatorade during games.

Gatorade is just coke with different marketing.

Go for water.

I typically go for water after and during an intense workout. Often times I will add some BCAA's to my water, which helps promote muscle growth and endurance. The flavor, of which there is generally many to choose from, is a nice added bonus. You can't go wrong with watermelon.
