I suffer from anxiety and
schizophrenia
and looking for a friendship so I can develop my my mind and get out of my little world I'm in. I would appreciate it to talk daily and develop a good friendship. I would like to suffer with someone and have a good bond.

Boundaries
But I need to understand
schizophrenia
is scary to people. People don’t know my heart. They just met me.

Dopamine discovery: Brain chemical’s role in social understanding offers new hope for treatments
Besides people with Parkinson’s and
schizophrenia
, this might be beneficial for a range of other conditions affected by dopamine imbalances, such as Huntington’s disease or Tourette’s syndrome.

It's an insult on my intelligence to be gaslighted like that
I have anxiety not
schizophrenia
. My suffering is neurotic (aka distress caused by reality) not Psychotic (aka distorted reality caused by distress and neurochemistry)Last time he gaslighted me like that, sis was almost disowned

schizophrenia support
I find it hard to communicate my feeling as a schizo-affective person. It’s hard to find people who care about the troubles I’m going through. I’m high functioning so people have high expectations of me. I have been characterized as cognitively strong and people expect me to perform at a high level.

i am struggling
I am a recent cancer survivor and have an older brother that has
schizophrenia
... my OCD theme is afraid of psychosis/schizo. I hate that I am in true fear of ever developing it because I see the pain my brother goes through. But it's a real thing. It's like I don't know how to process his illness.

A movie I just watched
It’s title is The Writing On The Wall Main character has
Schizophrenia
It was very inspirational for me. He struggled as he went through his journey and eventually became extremely brave while facing his illness. I found the movie to be really relatable.

Medication side effects
I also have a sibling who has paranoid
schizophrenia
and am anxious about the less common side effect of psychosis. I am wondering if anyone on here has had this side effect starting medication as an adult, and if they know they have psychosis disorders in their family?

Why keep living when it's almost certainly too late
My dad had paranoid
schizophrenia
and my mom's dad (papa) had manic depression. The Dr rolled his eyes and said "I gave up on treating them a long time ago.
